avi converted mpeg doesn't play audio

    hi guys,
    i used TMPGEnc Express to convert avi into mpeg but the resulting file doesn't ply the audio and the length of clip is exactly twice of the movie with the second half playing a blank screen..can u help me how to go abt this prob

    hi,
    thanks for your reply...i think i should have been more elaborate...i want to burn the final mpeg into DVD...i looked into other thread.. and used the virtual dubmod to see the file information and i found out that the audio source was that of "fraunhofer IIS MPEG layer-3 Codec" i took the advice given in the other thread to save the audio as "wav" but i am unable to because it occupies a hell lot of space....i want to apply compression but i don't how to do it...if you can help me with that aspect i would be thankful...

    if the xilisoft will solve the above problem...can u provide me with the link where to download the software...
