Hey all.... First post but have been reading here quite a long time. I have looked about for an answer to this and triend a number of possibles but none has helped. What is happening: I am using TMPGEnc to convert my AVI file to the appropriate VOB's etc to be burnt to DVD-R. I am selectign PAL as i dont think my telly was able to deal with the original encoding as it went black and white on the first play. When encoded, i am using the built in app in TMPGEnc to burn the DVD, Now when i play the DVD in my player downstairs (A NAD player - good quality) ......every 2-3 seconds it hesitates a frame. This happens all the way through the DVD. no setting changes it on the player. Not so noticeable on slow moving stuff but any kind of action forget it. The AVI file is perfect and has no stutters at all when watched on the PC. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Andy
Does TMPGenc save the output to a folder before burning the DVD? Use your PC's media player to open and play it - see if it's a problem with the conversion or the burning.
Hi attar, Its the encoding from what i can see. The encoded files are saved on my machine wand when i view them they have the same stutter. The original source files dont have any stutter at all :\ Andy
If it's just the one file, try VSO for the conversion and let TMPGenc create the menu and burn. I think that TMPGenc DVD Author allows you to load a VOB file if you choose 'all file types' http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe Import the file(s) (AVI, WMV,MPEG, VOB) Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD. Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv) Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)
