Hope this is right forum, if not feel free to move to right forum. I used afterdawn's guide on how to convert a .avi file to DVD. I converted .avi to ISO files using Avi2DVD which was successful on 2nd try. (first try failed on generating .iso file. and I fixed this by hardcoding the subtitles using VirtualDub, which in previous try I used avi and srt files). I then used ImgBurn and followed the guide but the problem is when I tried to burn the audio and video folders to the DVD-RW it says it's too big for my DVD? The folders total 4.7GB and the DVD is 4.4GB. How can I fix this? By the way, I uses Philips DVD-RW. Thanks
Open the .iso in DVD Shrink (File > Open Disc Image). Click 'Backup' and select the backup target - either another ISO or a folder, then burn with 'IMGBurn'. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm
It fixed the problem but the quality are not that good. And it cut off the sides off. Guess I'll keep trying to get a good quality DVD - is there any way I can avoid having to convert avi files to DVD and wait for 12 hours? Thanks
