If Gspot reports a FourCC code of 0 or it doesnt render anything then youve probably got a fake file.

i have a similar prob. GSPOT reports file to be fine, try playing it using DIVX player and no errors (normally i get the fourcc code 0 error when file is fake) real player no error, still no pic and no sound :(:(:(

Hehehehe...free is such a nice word.

    ZOOMPLAYER (free) http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_download.shtml
Im biased because its the main player I use but trust me its a great one.

    Media Player Classic (free) http://www.divx-digest.com/software/media_player_classic.html

Like it says at Divx Digest, very similar to WMP in looks but it has a whole lot more options and features at your disposal.

And finally, take a look at this list of players

    Good Luck.
