Avi file too large for CD

    Hi everyone.I have an AVI movie file that is 1GB.
    Could anyone advise the preferred way of burning to a CD.
    Do I need to split file(best software) to burn on 2 CD's or can I shrink somehow without losing quality.

    Try AutoGordianKnot.
    Load the AVI and select a predefined or custom output size (1 CD or 700MB) and see if the quality suits.
    Since the AVI is already compressed, further compression leads to loss of quality - it's how much you can put up with.
    It would be simpler to copy the existing file to a DVD - if that was an option.
