I download a movie from Graboid and it plays fine on my desktop but when I copy it to a USB thumb drive, put the thumb drive in my laptop, copy it from the USB drive to the laptop, then try to play the file, a window comes up with a message: [This .avi file is broken. you can click here o try to fix it but it may take a long time] I click ok, then a window opens up that says: [building .avi index file OR indexing .avi file] eventually after about 30 minutes the file starts playing on the laptop. Also, I am able to play this file with no problems on my PS3 through the media server option. Any idea what the reason for this problem is? Thank you
1 Run VirtualDub. 2 File > Open Video file 3 Bottom-left of menu, check the box 'Ask for extended options....' and select the file. 4 'Re-derive keyframe flags' The file loads. After the file is loaded.
