AVI Files to DVD

    Can someone please explain how i can get an avi/divx film onto a RW DVD. I am using nero to burn the file only every convert i have used eg avi to dvd/mpeg2 file won't play on any dvd player

    Would the best program to use be TMPGEnc for converting Mini-DV camcorder file format. I just want to be able to take stuff that I have shot on my Mini-DV camcorder and burn it onto a DVD?

    TMPGEnc or MainConcept MPEG Encoder should do you fine. The only differences between these two are that the TMPGEnc Encoder take a long time to encode, where as the MainConcept Encoder only takes 2Hours.

    Once you have made your DVD compliant MPEGS, you will need to make DVD files which TMPGEnc DVD Author will do.
