hi i have a video file that isnt supported by TMPGEnc. When the wizard asks me to select a video file, i open the file, and it says can not be opened or not supported. ive tried opening the file with all the different types on the wizard, ie NTSC, PAL....

When i run it on AVI codec to check the details of the file it says the file runs on 15 FPS so i thought that was weird.

Anyways im trying to burn this file onto a dvd-r, if not then a cd-r is ok too.

    thanks.

I don't know if TMPGEnc handles 15 fps or not but I know that it will reject many .avi file with that same error message unless you change the default Environment VFAPI settings. Look in Option, Environmental setting, VFAPI plugin and make sure DirectShow Multimedia File Reader has the highest priority in the list or at least has a priority of "2".
Then try loading the file again.

If it still doesn't work try Stoik Video Converter freeware. If nothing
will process it then maybe it's corrupted.

    thanks for all the help.
i'll try out that program later because TMPGenc trial time has expired and even if i reinstall it, it wont run nemore.
(can ne1 help me with that?)

also the DivxtoDVD program seems to have done the trick.

    thanks again.
