I'm new here, I have an avi video file, thats 2 hours long. The first two minutes plays fine, and then it continues playing, but no sound or video. Then 20 minutes later in the file, it'll start again. Then it'll stop and start later on etc. It's driving me crazy. I have downloaded different codecs. G-Spot says its fine and isn't corrupted, and that I have the correct codecs. What do I do next? HELP!

How is the file when you open it with VirtualDub(Mod)? Is it all there? Does it look ok?

I've tried it, and no it isn't all there. I'm sure it can't be corrupt because G Spot says its fine.

    Thankyou

GSpot won't tell you if a file is corrupt other than if it is missing the header, then it just won't recognise it.

Is there a program that will allow me to check if the file is corrupted?

If VDubMod can't decode all the frames then it is fairly safe to say that the file is corrupt.
