I have a 700Mb avi movie file. but when i try to play it, it only plays the first few seconds. I've tried re-downloading it but the same thing happened. this is the first time this has happened, because this has not happened with any of my previous files. I've tried many media players, but still the same thing. has anybody got a solution to this or some sort of program to help? this is a avi file that is played on a pc. Thanks in advance.
Run VirtualDub, then drag or load the AVI file. If it accepts it (it may give you a message about variable frame rate audio - but continue on) and you can play it ok, click 'Video' 'Direct Stream Copy' then 'File' 'Save as AVI' then retest. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/virtualdub.cfm
