Hi I've got a video in avi format on a dvd and try as i might, i can't seem to get it off the disc onto my hard drive. i get strange msgs saying cyclic redundancy check errors and so forth. the method i'm using has worked perfectly on other avi files which i have on the disc but not this one. i can't access the file in any way accept to play it via WIndows media player.... please help!!!!! thanx
that error refers to a dirty or scratched disc at the least and crappy media at the worst. Try cleaning it 1st off and then if you see scratches you might need to take it to your local video outlet to see if they can re grind it down.That should fix your problem
