I got a few AVI files without subtitles and now I want to get subtitles under them, I use virtualdub and in the beginning this was al good. The third file I tryed there was an error = Error initializing audio stream decompression: No installed audio codec could be found to decompress the compressed source audio. Check to make sure you have the required codec. I looked with gspot and the only thing that was changed was the Bitrate:130 kb/s (65/ch, stereo) VBR LAME3.92 to 28 kb/s (64/ch, stereo) VBR LAME3.95 now I tryed to download the LAME codec but It still doesn't work does anyone know what to do? I hope so.
Do you get an error about the audio being VBR and that it will be out of sync? Two choices then 1) Follow the advice which I guess is what you were doing. 2) Use VirtualDubMod instead. 3) Actually there are plenty of other choices. Such as you could demux the audio, frameserve the video only with AVISynth for encoding, thereby avoiding the fourced RGB24 colourspace conversion that you get with VirtualDub. Mux the finished product with AVIMuxGUI.
Ok and how do you do all of this now i'm confussed, because I don't get AviSynth and I don't know how to Demux and yes I get those errors. I hope I don't make you crazy.
