Hi guys I am new here and I was looking around to try and find something so I didnt have to bug people on the boards but I have not found what i was looking for so here I am. I was just wondering if it was possible to get .avi files onto a cd-r. I know a long time ago a friend put some music videos on a cd-r for me but I dont know how he did it. I would Like to know if there is anyway to get 25+ minute long .avi files onto a cd-r? I am guessing that I will need to convert the files to another format but I dont know what format. If anyone can help me out I would appriciate it. I would also like to know what programs I should use if this stuff can be done.

you will need to convert your avi to mpeg1 to get it to vcd.
alternatively you could convert it to mpeg 2 and view it on a dvd disc

Have a Look in the guides section at the top of the page and you will find a guide on how to use tmpgenc encoder.

Heres a link that might help you

O' by the way multiposting is a no no .

but you can still enjoy your self
