if you can convert to mpeg whats the problem.Mpeg2 is the format you require to be able to get your project to disc.VSO divx to dvd has been suggested and does a very good job.It sounds like its not the encoder but the burning app that you are having issues with. What one are you using?

cool let us know if it works and if it does maybe we need to asses why the upgrade doesnt work.Did you uninstall the older version before you installed the newer version with that nero removal tool or did you just overlay the new on the old

after you re formatted you should of installed xp service pack2

    then the mother board drivers
    then the graphic card drivers
    then the sound card drivers
    then your internet.

Once the internet is running, go to microsoft and download all the updates
Next install your virus software and get all those updates.

Do a virus check. After the check install your burning software, and any other program you wanted .

dONT do half a job as you may find you need to reformat again as all the relevant drivers werent installed properly

its better to do it slow and steady.Make sure you do everything right the 1st time.If you still have problems after the install then we may need to start looking at your hard ware

    Hi Greg,

What Mgr is your HD ?

Companies such as Western have diagnostic proggys that you can run to check your HD, you might try and find one.

Next, how much "Free" space do you have on your HD ?

Do you have a 2nd HD you can use for your video work ?

Finally, I'd like you to try DivxToDVD2. It's available for a week trial then it's $29.99.

You just "drag" your files into the window and click "Convert" and it renders your files then burns it to disc, all automatically. A most excellent proggy.

Let me know what you come out with.
