When i try to convert avi to dvd/mpeg-2 with TMPGEnc and i put the avi file to the video file. comes error message that says xxx.avi can not open, or unsupported. Why?

This is more than likely because your frame rates are probably set to a size TMPGEnc will not reconize.I use mainconcept to convert avi files to the following frame rate size.

    VCD,352x288 pixel 25.00FPS,44100Hz,2channels,16bit

Once you have the avi file set to this size then TMPGEnc will reconize the file.

For most information have a look at the TMPGEnc guide which you can find at the link below.

ImTOO MPEG Encode is convert avi to mpeg2, but it is regretable that it doesn't create DVD standard file like IFO.
