AVI to DVD problem: Only records part of each frame...

I'm running WINAVI 7.0 on an XP system (Service Pack 2). I have been successfully converting AVI files to DVD files for several weeks. For no obvious reason, my output files now only contain a small section of each video frame. It's like a camera is zooming in on just one aspect of each frame and recording that part of the picture. I tried another conversion program and I have the same problem. Any suggestions as to what might be going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
