I attempted to use TMPGEnc to convert my avi movie files into a format that could be written to a dvd and played back on a dvd player. But it tells me that the movie is longer than it actually is, giving me something that is more than 60 min off and also it takes so long and always crashes while doing so. Is there an easier way to do this, such as a different peice of software?

I had similar problems with tmpgenc so started to use winMPG Video Convert and this cured the problem
