I have downloaded a couple of files .avi and they play fine on my computer. I would like to convert them to some format that would allow the to be played on my stand alone dvd player. I think DVD but is that possible? If so how. I am somewhat familiar with using Nero, dvddecrypter and dvd2one.

I just tried Nero6 for making a DVD using 2 x .avi files...it should do all the conversion for you and burn to DVD...however, mine failed with some transcoding error (not sure if this had anything to do with it being a DivX file). The process takes about 4-8 hours (unattended) depending on the size of the files. This is my first time trying this process so still experimenting..

Lostboy76 - Some of them are too big for one vcd otherwise that would have been my choice. Thank You.

Jwiseguy I could not get get Nero to work. but thanks for the sugestion.

Russ1982 I will try Uleads if the program I found called avi to dvd does not do the trick.

Thank You all for your responses. Wish I had found this forumn sooner.
