    Hi,
You can convert your avi movie to dvd format ie ts_vob by using nero recode or you also can use divxtodvd to convert the avi movie to vob files and burn with nero or clonedvd2. divxtodvd program will be the fastest software I even come across.
Another choice you can convert the avi movie file is to use santadvd but will not be as fast as divxtodvd.
Using AVI2DVD is really a hassle. If you are not a so called expert in this field my advise is to forget about using this AVI2DVD software. Because this software is tremously slow and a bit complicated.

Use VSO divxtoDvd, and then nero to burn the video files to dvd.

I would also recommend vso divxtodvd, and I think it comes with a free trial of copytodvd as well.

Use VSODivxToDvd to convert, use Folder2Iso to convert to .iso, (use DVD Shrink if neccessary to compress), then use DVD Decrypter's ISO [bold]Write[/bold] mode to burn the movie...
