AVI to GIF Converter

    Can anyone recommend a good AVI to GIF converter? I have searched and searched and found nothing but BS. Thanks in advance!!

    .avi files are movies. .gif files are stills. You would be better off running a program that captures screen shots from your .avi files. It should be able to save them to .gif format. If it only saves them to .jpeg then you can use any .jpg to .gif converter from there.

    VLC Media Player allows you to take screen captures of avi videos. With those screen captures, you can create your animated gif file using whatever program it is you choose. Personally I use Jasc Animation Shop 3.

    Photoshop CS4 Also works you can import a video file such as AVI (that's all i know cuz i haven't tried any others) and then save it as a gif and bang your done im guessing Photoshop CS2 and CS3 might also do it..if they have a import function which i think it does..
