I just recently bought a 4X Pioneer Dvd Rw Burner! I have been downloading these avi files for a year now and i was wondering how do you convert them to mpg using TMPGEnc. I tried it with the divx codec and converted it but all it did was do nothing no audio no video and the time twice as long. I had it set at both mpg 1 and 2 NTSC 29.97 fps/352x240 with the bitrate at 320 and no results. I hade success converting Mpeg's at 23.976 into Ntsc 29.97 fps and then converted it succesfully into .vob and .bup. I tried this gspot app but i think it is telling me i have to convert avi's into mpeg's with the xvid codec. I have a avic(fourCC) changer. Can someone please help me. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]/\||=X[/small]
I downloaded and converted an Avi file to Mpeg for the first time last week. I found this thread very informative. It could be what you are looking for. Good luck. http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/divx_to_vcd.cfm?wide=true
Hi, First off i assume you have the necessary codecs for your files, if not use GSpot to tell you what they are, you can find them in the software section of this site. Try encoding using DVD2SVCD with TMPGEnc as the results are better, it can output to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 and can use AVI as an input file. In DVD2SVCD hit the Misc. Tab and change input file type to AVI and DVD2SVCD level > Advanced. You may wish here to change output to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 If you wish to just get mpg files hit CD Image > Don't make images. Hit the encoder tab and select the encoder you wish to use (CCE SP comes out with the best results but you may want to use TMPGEnc). Point it to the location of your encoder.exe (eg TMPGEnc.exe) depending on which encoder you are using. Change any settings here you wish to, then in the Bitrate tab you can choose how many cds it will output to (You should have max bitrate to be 2530 min to be 300 and max average 2230). Load in your AVI file through the Conversion tab. In Framserver you can resolution to resize to (Note that resizing toVCD or DVD will also present an MPEG file compliant to be converted to DVD compliant files also but choosing SVCD or CVD will not). When ready you can preview what the encoded video will look like: Conversion > Go > Preview Video (still picture) and select the Aspect Ratio according to what suits. Finally Go > Start Conversion and sit back. Haz
Ok. I have a dvd Burner and i don't want to encode avi into svcd without losing all my quality, with dvd2sccd or i would use my cd burner. I also assume you haven't took the liberty to fully read my msg or you are pretty thick because that didn't even answer my question. The programs you suggested I use, I have. ALL I WANT TO KNOW is if the AVI File has to be in XVID or DIVX CODEC when i Convert it? If I could get just one simple answer thta's all!
well your msg seemed to have numerous directions It does not matter what codec the AVI has when you convert. I read the full msg thanks and don't appreciate being called pretty thick. back to first quote Haz
Judging by your your response to the help people are trying to give you, I would say you are a cheeky fusker who does not warrant people wasting their time on you. If you are such a smart arse sort it out yourself.
Well don't bother i just decided instead of waiting around to for answers i looked them up myself. I finally found my answer. Cucusoft !
syphality, what is your motivation to PM'ing a user and insulting him for trying to help, actually dont tell me, just fusk OFF!! Banned!_X_X_X_X_X_[small]http://www.BillLonero.com - Check out a true artists music! aD Channel on IRC: Server: rod.liquidirc.com channel: #ad_buddies [/small]
