AVI to Mpeg-1

I need to convert avi video to mpeg-1 . I then need to burn the mpeg-1 onto a cd (I only have a cd burner). What programs do i need to do this easily? I do not need it to be great quality.


PS- I have tried to use TMPEGnc before and it freezes up whe i select the avi file as the video i want to convert.

 

Run Super, drag the AVI onto the window.
Select the output container (MPG VCD Compliant)

Try AVI2DVD. Select SVCD instead of DVD and choose 700MB CD instead of 4.7GB DVD. Works in standalone DVD players. Enjoy!

 

Yes, to burn onto CD, you'd better convert your avi to VCD/SVCD first. You can try winavi, a friend always use it to do VCD/svcd conversion and burn.
