I've been having problems lately. I have been trying to convert avi to mpeg with tmpge dvd source creator but when I open it up with media play there is no sound. So then I use a different converting tool this one is called Cucusoft avi to dvd. The results are the same with no sound. I used different clips with different conversion tools with no luck. Tmpge and Cucusoft I used it in the past and both have worked many times. This is a new problem. Any ideas? Help would be geatly appreciated.
AVI is simply a container, AVI files support multiple audio and video streams. An AVI file can carry audio/visual data in almost any compression scheme, including: Full Frames (Uncompressed), Intel Real Time Video, Indeo, Cinepak, Motion JPEG, Editable MPEG, VDOWave, ClearVideo / RealVideo, QPEG, MPEG-4 (Xvid/Divx) and others.
You don't seem to understand the question. I'm not asking you the capabilities of an AVI file. The question is how come I can't hear sound when I convert an AVI file to a MPEG file? These AVI files have been downloaded.
Well I guess I don't. The point is an AVI can be a number of things and may require specific codecs. Chevy, Buick, Pontiac, Rolls Royce, are all 'Cars', to fix one a mechanic has to know the brand and model as parts from one will not work on another. Good Luck.
