I'm using Nero 6 Ultra to burn an AVI file to CD. 10 minute file saved as an AVI, 320x240, 29.97 fps, Microsoft codec, 22.050 audio rate. When I play back the AVI I see video, no problem there, but audio track cannot be heard. What am I not doing correctly? Appreciate any feedback and thanks in advance for the assist!

Well The first thing is you should not use Nero to Create the Files for VCD because Nero uses the worlds worst quality encoder and should never be used to encode your AVI files to VCD..Nero is OK for burning Mpeg1/VCD Files to CD-R as VCD"s but it sucks are createing the Mpeg1/VCD Files out of AVI files....
You should download "Tmpgenc" and use it to encode your AVI file to Mpeg1/VCD and then use Nero to Just Burn the Mpeg1/VCD File to CD-R as a VCD....This method will yield Much better quality and you can Play the File after encodeing to make sure that the audio and Video are good and then Burn it to CD-R...Cheers
