   i have a whole bunch of avi files that are over 700mb and i was wondering how to compress them to make them fit on a cd so i could watch them using my dvd player. i am a total newbie and any help would be greatly apreciated. thanks.

   1. To watch on ur standalone, you wouldnt be 'compressing' them. They will baloon to two or three times the size depending on the format used
