Im using xilisoft tools to convert an avi file to .VOB and then using nero to burn the .VOB straight onto a dvd-r. I have done this before with another avi file, but im not sure if it was dvd+r.

Should I be trying a +R or am i possibly encoding and/or burning something the wrong way?

Do you have Audio_TS and Video_TS files or just .vob files.

If you do then try it in a DVD player to see if it works.

If it works on a DVD player then try a diffrent brand of DVD-R discs because PS2 can be picky about the DVD-R disc brand

Burn as a Data DvD using nero. Just put both the Audio_TS and Video_TS into the Dvd directory.

PS:Ignore any error messages you might get about .vob relocation or something like that
