I just got a DVDrip of saw3 and it plays picture perfectly, but there is no audio. Its in avi format and its running on both windows media player and powerdvd, both no sound. I was hoping that for some reason my computer didnt have an audio codec to play the sound, so i went forward and spent the hours to convert into dvd format and burn a dvd. The dvd doesnt even register the picture however. Before i put more effort into it could you please tell me if my theory of lacking a codec could be possible, or if it was a bad download or something. thanks
try converting the orginal file to WMV (WINDOWS MEDIA VIDEO) try playing it in WMP then Lets get you the right video and audio codecs VIDEO: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm AUDIO: find the appropriate one for you here http://www.free-codecs.com/Audio_Codecs.htm what did you use to rip the video i suggest "ripit4me", it seems to get the lowest amount of issues reported
