Ok, I followed the very helpful AVI2DVD guide here on afterdawn. 8 hours later I ended up with a nice big .ISO file and proceeded to burn it to DVD. My excitement faded, as the newly burned DVD would not play in my player or on my PC. Upon further review it looks like AVI2DVD gave me a bum .IFO file: I tried to import the VOB files into TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6, but I could only get VTS_01_0.VOB and VTS_01_1.VOB to import. The source files are all resized to match each other and encoded using XviD through VirtualDub. Pardon my newbness, but any help regarding this is greatly appreciated.
Try using Nero Vision Express. Below is a guide for you. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 Or download the trial version of ConvertXTODvd and use that. It is worth the money. I used to use Nero Vision but stick with ConvertXTODvd now for all my AVI conversions. http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/
Excellent, I'll give ConvertXtoDVD a shot. Hopefully AVI2DVD can get it's stride, it was really easy to use.
Wow, ConvertXtoDvd was fast and really easy. I'd recommend that to anybody. Can anybody recommend a similar program that gives you more control over the menus? (I like the control over the menu that AVI2DVD gives you)
I use Adobe Encore if I want to convert a Video File and make a nice menu for it. Other then that I will use ConvetXTODvd if I do not want a menu on the DVD.
