I have been using my AVI2DVD software for 6 months with no problems, but it has suddenly started turning itself off as soon as I hit the load file button. I am the administrator on the computer. Can anyone advise me on what could have gone wrong?
Reinstall the product. If it doesn't work, run a malware/virus scan (I use this web-based one http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html from Internet Explorer) If it doesn't help, run a memory test. Download the iso for version 2.01 from memtest.org and create the CD. (Boot from the CD to do the test, lasts about 2 hours). PS. these are generic troubleshooting techniques and you should consider them when ever you have any strange behavior like this.
