Hi, I've done some avi2dvd-conversions with the avi2dvd-software (freeware). I've used hcenc as encoder and then I've burnt the resulting iso-file with dvd-decrypter. The result looks good in my pc and also good in a very cheap akai-dvd-player. My problem is that in my newly bought Pioneer 520 dvd-recorder the video is very blurry as if the dvd-player has problems with the encoding (especially when the camera or subject is moving). Since the pioneer-player is connected to my hi-fi equipment i really like to solve this problem. Any ideas or help, please? /Anders
Here is what I think...It looks good on your PC, and it looks good on a cheap player, right? Later on you say the Pioneer is hooked up to your hi-fi, so I'm guessing its a larger screen, correct? It looks good on the pc becuase of the small screen, and on the cheap player becuase you probably tried it on a smaller screen than your hi-fi one. Sorry if I'm wrong, it's just that I've been through that before lol. Razor
Hi Razor, Thanks for your reply. Actually the screen size is the same. But I've tried another encoder and then it worked well! /Anders
