Greetings all, I have several AVI movie files that I'd really like to convert to VCDs so that I can watch them from my DVD player. I know that my DVD player plays VCDs already. I first used AVI2VCD's decompression utility to decompress the AVI, then I used it to convert to MPEG format. I then used Nero 6 Ultra to create the VCD. I've tried this twice now, and when I try to play them on both of my DVD player I get the message : "Incorrect Disk". Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks so much in advance.
[bold] THREAD MOVED [/bold] There are thousand reasons for your played doesn't read the disc. For example, maybe you mis-used Nero selecting CD-ROM template, instead of VCD... Make this thing: create a good mpeg-1 as you know how to do (splitting it in 2, if the movie is > 80'). Then load the mpegs with VCDGear and create the images. Then burn. If you simply want to do AVI -> VCD, try TMPGenc 2.5. It is free, and if you don't need to load MPEG-2 files (DVD, SVCD) or making them it is easy ; more, there are many guides about it, in http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/.
