AVI'S To Mpeg then burning to dvd quality

    When I convert AVI's to MPEG and then i burn them to dvd and wtach them on my normal dvd player the quality is really bad with green things everywhere. Can anyone help me?

    How are you converting? Seem to recall hearing about such issues with some players and VSO's DivXtoDVD.
