I have been trying to copy several discs first using DVDShrink to copy the dvd to my hard drive, then NERO Recode to burn them, and it seems to never fail that the burn will start and then freeze up and just fail after several minutes. The dvr that I am using is a TSSTCorp TS-H552b. I have the most recent firmware (thanks to reading this forum, I have learned how to check and update that!) and I have done everything that I have read in other threads, Im at my wits end with this problem. I never had this problem until recently, and im wasting discs. The media that I have been using is Sony DVD+R. Another side note...I am unable to burn to ANY DVD-R which, from what I have read, I should be able too. I am posting an error log from my latest try in NERO, and hopefully someone can help me resolve this issue. I am about to give up!! one thing that i see that could be a problem you don't have verry much free memory, have you tryed turning off some programs that you are not using while you are burning, also no multitasking, no surfing the net, i think this is your problem (Physical memory : 447MB (458224kB) Free physical memory: 133MB (136324kB) Memory in use : 70
I will try shutting everything down before a burn and try that! I have been meaning to buy more memory, but lazy lol.. thanks for the info though, will try again! Will be able to have a party soon with all the ruined discs I have !
try using Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim , thats you're best choice edit: gwendolin thats what happens when i post dead tired huh lol
@aabbccdd, He is using Sony discs...he's referring to more Memory Cheers. Turn this function to OFF (False) Update firmware to TS12 from here... http://www.samsungodd.com/Lib/popup...ad&fname=200605041205001371_TS-H552B_TS12.bin Try slowing your burn to 4X
ok, so far successful closing anything running that I dont need, and slowing my burning down.. On another note any idea why I can only burn to DVD+R and not DVD-R? My drive is capable of it, but wont burn, just spins the disc. Thanks for the help on my previous problem though, as I said so far, so good!
