I jumped in and got burned...not the whole disk. Primary and secondary IDE's set to Ultra DMA. Decrypter and Nero 6.3.15 only burned about 1/5 of the disk(Ritek G04). I used Shrink and set it to 4360MB. Any ideas..??
    Thanks.

what error did you get when it failed???
did you leave the computer alone while it burned?? including turning off virus check/screensaver etc???

try updating aspi layer (google for "adaptec aspi" or "force aspi", run adaptec aspichk.exe and it will tell you if its installed and functioning correctly)

I ran shrink first, tagged the box to run decrypter for burning and that was it. No multitasking or anything...I did't even look at it funny !!

Custom set your disc size to [bold]4290[/bold] and instead of burning with Deecryptor try burning with Nero instead.

    ramonesky,

Is your dvd burner the master drive? Did you install an aspi layer? And is your burner's firmware up to date?

I'll reset the size as advised. The drive is set to master and it has all firmware updated. I am still dealing with this ASPI issue. Maybe I need to scratch the other side of my head to figure it out !!
I'll wrestle with it and get back.
    Thanks !!

I burned one movie and it gave me fits....so, I switched to W2K pro and burned flawlessly. Shrink and Decrypter operated error-free !! Something tells me XP pro is not happily co-habitating on my system. Thanks for help guys !!
