Okay, I had to reformat and re-install my OS (XP Home). So I had all my MP3's backed up on Verbatim DVD+R. I have several DVD's worth of MP3's. Now I am able to simply transfer some of the MP3's on these DVD's back on to the PC but some of them when I try to drag them over or copy and paste, cause my PC to freeze. I have gotten both a "...I/O error" as well as the "cyclic redundancy" error. I can usually tell right away if the batch of MP3's or the folder full of MP3's wil transfer successfully because when I highlight them on the DVD+R window and then drag them over onto the HD I will see the mouse pointer with a + next to it right-away and I know it will befine, but if I don't then I know I will have issues. Can anyone help me trouble shoot this? Also It has happened that I have two folders of MP3's on one DVD and one of the folders transfers okay but the other one doesn't. ANY help would be appreciated. BTW I have NTFS file system
all motherboard drivers installed from your disc or files from website? aspi layer installed ? dma enbled? how old is the backup disc?
