Backing up games bigger than 4.7g..

    Does anyone know how to back up games bigger than 4.7g...ive been able to back up games no prob until this the game is 7.7g and i have no idea how to get it onto one disc or if i need to put it on two..thanks any help would be appreciated

    Many games come with extra junk on there that can be deleted. If you can delete enough, it will fit. Check http://www.balugabutt.com to see what kind of deletions (if any) you can make on your particular game.

    its a multi-game thing though..nintendo 64 games

    Then your only option is to unpack the ISO and start deleting games that you don't want. Unlike a DVD movie, there is no way to compress these ROMs more than they are already.

    k..thanks...so i could just split them in half so to speak and still have them all???

    Yeah, you can do that if you wanted go with two discs.

    so what files can you actually get ride of?

    have you got a dvd dl drive in your computer if so then you can buy any double layer disk from your local computer shop extract ya game as nornal then iso it and use dvd decrypter to copy it onto a disk

    that must have a ton of games on it. I have BEAD discs with like 14,000 roms on them and it was under 4.7GB
    and they covered a bunch of systems including N64 and also included the emulators.
    Putting them on two discs may be your best option. Are the files you got split into two or are they all one file?
    I ask because you said it wans a multi disc thing.

    And remember on all disc you can remove the following files which usually significantly reduces the size of the game:

    dashupdate.xbe
    update.xbe
    downloader.xbe

    Use a DVD+R DL disc
