Backing up PC game

    I was trying to make a backup copy of one of my games just in case it gets scratched up. It seems like when I try to copy the game it takes forever to get to a percent. What can I do?

    and what make is ur dvd drive?

    Help!! I'm trying to backup "The Suffering" & "Gun" both PC Games. I don't know what kind of protection they have, but I've used Nero 6, DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120%, and nothing seems to work for me. Any suggestions, anybody? I'd really appreciate it.
