Can software that has been purshased off the internet be backed-up for emergency reasons, like computer crashes. If so how can I do it, back up the programs. Thank You.
Yeah, all you have to do is click the "Save to" icon and save it to a folder that you can easily access. For example, when I downloaded AnyDVD, I made sure I saved it to a folder on my external hard drive in order for me to use in case of hardware failures. When I got the crack, I also saved it to my hard drive. Hope that helps, if it doesn't please don't hesitate to write back!
Thanks, but what I want to do is save it to a disc. This Is my wife's computer and to make it simple I don't Know how long I'll be able to use it. I have several software programs installed on her computer that I would like to keep until I get a computer. Also in case of a crash. Thank You Greg.
You need to save the original "Installer" that downloaded. Trying to save a folder won't do it. That way you don't get the important stuff that was installed into the registry. Saving the Installer, saves everything. If you tossed the installer, after installing, you'll need to download it again. I always put the installer in the program's folder, after it's installed. If something happens that I need to re-install it, I still have the installer, to do it with. Good luck! BTW........ You [bold]DO[/bold] know that I'm saying to burn the Installer to cd, right? )
