    More info would help us solve your problem
    1. Which disks are you using.
    2. Which program to write the files onto the disk
    3. What error codes or messages are you seeing when your burn stops.
    4. If using Nero, please post your NEro log but leave out the serial number please.

    You may be using the same brand, but is it the same rated speed. When was the last time you updated the firmware on your burner, make sure this is current. Also, media mfr can change. I have bought Maxell disks that had Ritek as a mfr and also the awful CMC Mag, or Fuji that was Taiyo Yuden and Prodisc.

    @russmars
    Is the firmware on your drive up to date as arniebear suggested?
    Best to keep it up to date - this may be the reason the 16x media is failing for you.
    What do you have the burn speed set at?

    If you need help with it - post back the make and model of the drive.
