i have heard horror stories about the copyright protection on the knights of the old republic games, can somebody who has made a backup of disc one of kotor 2 tell me what all programs i need to bypass these copyrights and burn the disc so that the game will recognize it?

kotor 2 is securom new 4.x/5.x protected and I would suggest alcohol 120% to make this backup as you might need emulation to run the backup.

whats the make and model of your burner?

yes this will create a backup and you do not need a third party app.

Once you get Alcohol and stil have question just post back and I'll be looking for this post.

    no problem -shagohod-

Open Alcohol 120% and select Image Making Wizard, then select your Read Speed to 4x (I recommend this cause you will have less errors) now set your Datatype to Securom *New (4.x/5.x)(leave the box default, no need to make any changes the these) Select Next, from here you select which folder you want the image to go into and rename the file if need be, your choice :) Now select Start and set your Measuring Speed to 4x and press start. When it is done dumping the image your gonna select your image and start the Image Burning Wizard process, from there make sure your Datatype is the same as when you creating the image which is Securom *New (4.x/5.x), now select your Write Speed to 4x...less errors :) Once your image is done burnig then your ready to play the backup.

PS, if your image requires emulation then on the left hand side select emulation and check the box that says RMPS and your ready to play.

any more questions feel free to ask.

edit for saying the emulation was on the right hand side and it's on the left hand side....im retarded!
