    Hi,
    I'm new here, only a few experience backup "exact" copy of DVD5 movie
    (including company logo, FBI warning, extra...) using Dvddecrypter.
    and now I'm trying to make some changes to the backup,
    for example, the file (ALL, ripped by DVDdecrypter) list is:
    ==================
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.VOB
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_02_0.BUP
    VTS_02_0.IFO
    VTS_02_0.VOB
    VTS_02_1.VOB
    VTS_03_0.BUP
    VTS_03_0.IFO
    VTS_03_0.VOB
    VTS_03_1.VOB
    VTS_03_2.VOB
    VTS_03_3.VOB
    VTS_03_4.VOB
    VTS_04_0.IFO
    VTS_04_0.VOB
    VTS_04_1.VOB
    ==================

    VTS_01_* is some logo and warning screen,
    VTS_02_* is the menu,
    VTS_03_* is the main movie,
    VTS_04_* is the extra.

    I'd like to backup the menu and the main movie,
    so I delete VTS_02_*.* and VTS_04_*.*,
    and then I got:
    ==================
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VTS_02_0.BUP
    VTS_02_0.IFO
    VTS_02_0.VOB
    VTS_02_1.VOB
    VTS_03_0.BUP
    VTS_03_0.IFO
    VTS_03_0.VOB
    VTS_03_1.VOB
    VTS_03_2.VOB
    VTS_03_3.VOB
    VTS_03_4.VOB
    ==================
    These files size is ok to fit into a DVD-R disk without re-compressing.
    Is this a working copy of "main movie + menu" ?? (I guess not)
    or, should I rename VTS_02_* to VTS_01_*, and VTS_03_* to VTS_02_* ??

    I found some guides to backup the "main movie only".
    Is there any guide to backup "main movie + menu"??

    Thanks.

    i am pretty sure that you can not do what you are trying to do, as all the files within the dvd structure point to certain points and sectors within the disk, so deleting them or renaming them will cause problems. have a look at dvd2one might find a short term asnwer using that.
