i have a sony dual layer burner everything use to work, i could make back ups that play in in my player. now after burning, i get all kinds of errors, dirty disks, to nero saying burn failed at 4x or they get to the end and just freeze up , ya find it still burning the next morning.....shrink dont back up, dycripter dont , imageburn neither . i tryed several nero's and read all kinds of forum topics and going to read a lot more.dvd 5 and 9's, tryed verbatim double layers too, lots of costers. now im using dvd- rws. even reinstalled xp with a clean install...nope. no i guess i have to uninstall incd next... guess im at the end of my rope for whats next

this is the log from nero

memosux or tdk disks? .. hehehehe..

error says disk session closed.. try erasing it forst and see if that helps.. otherwise try a different disk.. it's a -rw that's showing up.. and those are very disliked by lots of burners.

By the looks of things, it seems you DVD burner is dead and doesn't want burn anymore. The lense is totally died on ya. Seeing how you have tried all kinds of disks, re-installed the OS and even tried different programs. That's what I think anyways. I had the same kind of problem as you did a long time ago and this is what it ended up being.
I say save yourself more costers and just go and buy a new DVD burner which is around $45 these days.

The Sony DRU-700A is an old burner, I believe they came out around 2005. You should check for a firmware update to burn the newer discs. The CMC W03 disk {manufactures ID code} in the log you provided is sold under Imation brand and Memorex I believe. No mater as Imation is the parent company of Memorex and TDK. It's quality varies, and from other sites I have seen problems with it. But if all disks fail and a firmware update doesn't help then the burner probably needs replacing.

well i ran the burner thu sony 's dvd burner check ... it passed all tests, re installed the film ware if thats what its called, got rid of incd. it seems that the disk i back up play in this computer just fine and the laptop too... the laptop still has the audio stutter problemon any factory disk and the back ups too.but thay dont play in the sony 5 disk player in my rack system and i haven checked the single player yet. the factory ones work just fine... the back up give me cant play, disk dirty or just dont see them. and i got +r again. may be barking up the wrong tree so i have to read some of them links there and thanks

Imburn Is DvdDecrypter WithOut The Ripper. (Keep Imburn Get Rid Of DVD Decrypter)

    First YOU NEED More Ram.
Second YOU NEED a New Burner
Third YOU NEED To Take Care Of Your DMA Problem
Fourth YOU NEED to Learn To Use DVDFab

    The DRU 700 Doesn't Do DVD9s
