BAD BIOS FLASH need help asap, quick question!

    hi my acer aspire 7520 is now a brick after a bad flash, my question is if i was to fit a new pre-flashed chip onto my board would it just reboot back up? i dont want to bother with the recover crap as there is too many to work out lol, thanks in advance!

    If you have a preflashed chip, then you just have to reset bios, and it should boot right up.

    etting do u mean removeing the cmos battery i think it is?

    yes or using the cmos jumper according to your motherboard manual or user guide.

    my board doesnt have any jumpers? as of what i can see, and the battery needs unsoldering. my chip should come tday so il let ya know if it works or not. thanks for the help

    I can see a possible way round it... just depend how screwed it is.

    ::note:: the only way I found people have fixed a complete non start corrupt bios flash is by returning it to acer for motherboard replacement... great eh?

    glad I saw this thread.. I will never buy one of these piles of junk!!!

    it is a good lappy, it does start up with fans and lights just no screen.
