I have tried 3 types of media. One of them is Verbatim, burnlog file is below on that one. Any other suggestions. Otherwise, I have a Memorex paperweight that has only done 20+ burns. At the end of every Nero log, it will list drivers that may cause problems. Search for and rename it oldASPI32.SYS then try another burn. Note, there may be more than one instance of the file. If it has no effect, restore the file name and repeat for 'PXHELP20.SYS' Keep in mind that the files may be essential to some other operation and may have to be restored in any case. Good luck.
your version of Nero 6 is not the stablest version.... 6.6.0.18 is the most stablest version of Nero 6 and I would update it to that version. Here's how: Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot! install package one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539 then install package two: http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html reboot and you're good to go! using too much memory..... shut down programs running in the background and no internet or multi tasking! shut down anti virus program, too! you're burning too close to the outer edge .... adjust it to no more than 4400MB this is cheap media! Moser Bear media usually made in India ... get yourself some media made in Japan or just buy Verbatim! doesn't like your media! why doesn't it list your Memorex burner in the Scsi-Device-Map? is this an external drive? try new media! <9>I have a Power calibration error? Options you can try with "power calibration errors" o Try another brand of DVD-/+R or DVD-/+RW media. This is the most common cause of OPC errors. o "Slow down your burning speed". o Update the firmware of your recorder. Check the manufacturer's website for the latest version. o Check your power connectors, loose connections do occur. Don't share power with other devices. It needs its own power connector. If the errors occurs with an external recorder, Check the USB cable and connections. o Try different configurations, such as taking the DVD-ROM to the primary IDE bus as slave and have only the recorder connected to the secondary IDE bus as master. o Clean or have your DVD burner serviced. There are cleaning kits available. Sometimes just a gentle appplication of canned air can remove dust blocking the laser. o Replace the DVD burner. lets hope we don't need to do the last one
