Hello my helpful friends. I have a big problem with my captured camcorder videos(Mini-DV). When I capture them and watch them with Windows Media Player they seem to be in good shape - means good quality. But when I burn them as VCD (Nero converts to movies first before burning) on CD-R and watch them via DVD-Player on my TV the quality is really bad. I think it has to do something with the enlargement of the movie through the TV. How can I produce files on cd's with the same quality they have when I just connect the camcorder with the TV??? Please help! Thanx!!!

First of all, don't use Nero to encode.

Secondly, I'd suggest a minimum of encoding to SVCD at max bitrates (usually 2520 kpbs). Usually, that isn't too great and the best solution is to burn it to DVD-R (min 4000-5000 kbps).

You're not going to get good quality by encoding to VCD, no matter what settings you use.
