Decrypter is useless for .mov, this is false, misleading information!

Get virtualdubmod. Open the .mov, select video, compression, select a codec.
    Click file, save avi.

VirtualDubMod doesn't accept quicktime as input. At least not directly.

If you want one app that supports everything, try mencoder. It accepts just about anything as input and can output avi's and mpg's. Also other formats if you use libavformat for output. There is also ffmpeg, but it can't use external dll's for input like mencoder can.

Sorry I didn't read more closely. I wasn't thinking about .mov (quicktime)files. I was thinking [bold]mov[/bold]ie (generic for video)files.....I had better pay closer attention next time....Sorry for any confusion.
Thank you reboot for catching my error.

There are lots of programs that claim to encoed anything, to anything else, but most are crap, or they cost money and are crap.

There are generally good programs, for encoding one format, to another, and they do this one task extremely well.

If you told us what type of files you have, and what you want them to be, and why, we can recommend specific apps that will do that.
