Battlefield 2/ Special Forces problem (oops, posted in the wrong place)

    so i have battlefield 2 and recently got special forces as well. after i finished installing special forces, i try playing it and it goes to a black screen as if it's loading for a while, then goes back to my desktop. i then try playing battlefield 2, and that does the same now too!
    i re-installed battlefield 2, and that's back up and working but whenever i try re-installing special forces, the same problem occurs.
    does anyone know what the problem is? my computer meets all the requirements and stuff.
    a friend told me it's some problem in the patching, can anyone confirm this and does anyone know a way around this?

    haha, yeah...i noticed that like after i posted it then just edited the title so if the mods can delete this thread, that'd be great
