Alrighty then sports fans ! $64.00 question ? I have the Benq Dw 1655 drive . Have udpated firmware once already to BCHB checked benq support site & they now have BCIB firmware for this model . Which is as far as I know the latest update for my drive . Understand the purpose behind updating firmware my question is should I update now and what exactly am I getting in the bargain ? Updated writing strategies for newer media? I thought the whole purpose of solidburn was that your burner would learn and adapt to new media was'nt that the promise ? If so it would negate that reason for a FW udpate would'nt it ? also if anyone has made the update from BCHB to BCIB what are your impressions good or bad & would you recommend it or do it again if you had your Druthers ? Thanks everyone & happy holidays to all !

Yujenh- I think Meritline.com Might have them albeit at a high ( IMHO) price They have a better price on the Benq 1670 (Newer model) But from what I've read it does'nt support all the Qsuite goodies ( Solidburn ect... ) so unless you really need to burn DVD-Ram disc -Which this model does ,I would stay with the 1650-1655 series both being essentially the same drive other than the 1655 having lightscribe capability and the 1650 not having it . hope this helps!
