Hiya, new to the boards. Just bought a benq DW1640 which seemed to be a great DVD burning drive, but whenever I try and read any files of a single-session DVD the reader seems to stall, which also seems to cause windows to hang. I've installed the latest firmware, can anyone give me any advice?
I have that burner and its great. I assume this single session disc is something you copied and tried to play back? Do other discs have problems at all? I tend to think it is a problem with how the disc was made and not the burner. PLease post more info like exactly which firmware you flashed to and exactly what disc you are tring to use (brand name of disc, how burned, speed of burn) and everyone will try to help more.
