Hey folks, whew...been a long week Now peeking my head out from under the stack of papers on my desk I've been able to take a look-see at the new additions to computer retailers. News is that the DW1650 is available in Canada. And get this: it's cheaper than in the States!!! I'm fairly certain these guys ship south, so head on over to these links: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=009402&cid=CR.184 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17704&vpn=DW1650-0B3&manufacture=BENQ So does anyone have the scoop on how this drive compares to the 1655? Obviously the lightscribe feature isn't there...but how bout firmware? Has anyone tried a burn and compared to the DW1655?
Cool, but it's getting incredibly irritating that the only available colour is black. Is this the fault of BenQ's distribution? Or are these retailers only ordering in black, for some reason?
OEM's often come in one colour. Not sure if retail comes with a faceplate of the other colour. Try that
